Every Relationship Is Built One Conversation at a Time.

Most people believe relationships succeed because two people fall in love.

Scripture tells a different story.

Healthy relationships are built through wisdom.

Through truth.

Through grace.

Through intentionality.

Love may begin a relationship.

But conversations determine whether it grows.

The difficult reality is this:

Most relationships don't fail because love disappeared.

They struggle because the conversations that mattered most never happened.

Not before marriage.

Not during marriage.

Not while dating.

Not while waiting.

Pressure simply exposed what silence had been hiding all along.

As Kingdom builders, we spend years preparing for careers, businesses, investments, and leadership opportunities.

We read books.

We hire coaches.

We build systems.

Yet many people enter one of life's greatest stewardships—a relationship—with very little intentional preparation.

Whether you're single, dating, engaged, or married, one principle remains true:

The quality of your future relationships will rarely exceed the quality of the conversations you're willing to have today.

Pressure Doesn't Create Problems. It Reveals Them.

One of the biggest misconceptions about relationships is that pressure changes people.

More often, pressure reveals people.

Financial stress doesn't suddenly create unhealthy communication.

It exposes communication patterns that already existed.

Conflict doesn't create emotional distance.

It often reveals conversations that have been postponed.

Success doesn't weaken relationships.

It reveals whether two people have remained aligned while life became more demanding.

This isn't unique to relationships.

It's a Kingdom principle.

Throughout Scripture, testing reveals what formation has—or hasn't—produced.

The same is true in our closest relationships.

The conversations we avoid during seasons of peace often become the very conversations we are forced to have during seasons of pressure.

Wisdom prepares before pressure requires it.

The Relationships We Steward Matter

Here at The Kingdom Investor, we often talk about stewardship in terms of money, leadership, influence, and purpose.

But stewardship has always been bigger than wealth.

God entrusts us with people before He entrusts us with platforms.

Relationships are not interruptions to our calling.

They are part of our calling.

If you're married, your marriage is one of your greatest stewardship assignments.

If you're dating, discernment is one of your greatest responsibilities.

If you're single, preparation is one of the greatest investments you can make.

Preparation isn't waiting for the right person.

Preparation is becoming the kind of person who can build a healthy relationship when the opportunity comes.

Kingdom stewardship begins long before a wedding day.

It begins with the formation of your heart.

The Conversations Most People Wait Too Long to Have

We've noticed something while walking with couples and talking with friends over the years.

The biggest issues are rarely surprises.

Money.

Purpose.

Communication.

Conflict.

Faith.

Boundaries.

Legacy.

These aren't random topics.

They're the very places where pressure eventually arrives.

The problem isn't that people don't care.

It's that they assume these conversations will happen naturally.

They usually don't.

Life gets busy.

Schedules fill.

Responsibilities multiply.

Assumptions quietly replace understanding.

And assumptions are fragile foundations.

Healthy relationships don't happen because two people avoid difficult conversations.

They happen because they learn to have them with honesty, humility, and grace.

Why We Created The 7 Conversations

This is exactly why my wife and I created The 7 Conversations.

Not as another relationship checklist.

Not as a compatibility test.

And not only for married couples.

We created it because we believe the strongest Kingdom relationships are built intentionally.

Inside the guide, we walk through seven foundational conversations that every relationship needs…

including communication under pressure, financial stewardship, purpose and vision, spiritual foundation, conflict and repair, healthy boundaries, and legacy.

The guide is designed to help people move beyond surface-level communication into conversations that cultivate trust, clarity, and alignment.

It's intended for singles, dating couples, engaged couples, newlyweds, and married couples alike.

Whether you're preparing for a future relationship or strengthening the one you're already in, these conversations create space for wisdom before pressure demands it.

Prayer

Father, Thank You for the people You have entrusted to my life and for the relationships You are preparing me for. Give me the courage to pursue truth with humility, to listen with compassion, and to communicate with grace. Teach me to become someone who builds trust, cultivates unity, and reflects Your love in every relationship. Whether I am waiting, dating, engaged, or married, help me steward this season faithfully so that what I build will have a foundation strong enough to endure every season ahead.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Kingdom Challenge

This week, don't ask yourself:

"How can I improve my relationships?"

Ask: "What conversation have I been postponing because it feels uncomfortable?"

If you're married, schedule time with your spouse.

If you're dating, don't avoid the questions that reveal character.

If you're single, work through these conversations on your own. Let them expose your values, assumptions, fears, and hopes before someone else enters your story.

Preparation is never wasted.

Declaration

Say this out loud today:

I will not leave the health of my future to chance.

I will steward my relationships with wisdom, honesty, and intentionality.

I will choose meaningful conversations over comfortable silence.

Because the strongest Kingdom relationships aren't built by accident.

They're built one intentional conversation at a time.

Final Word

Kingdom builders understand that nothing of lasting value is built without intention.

Businesses require strategy.

Investments require discipline.

Legacies require stewardship.

Relationships are no different.

One day, you'll live on the other side of the conversations you're having—or avoiding—today.

The quality of your marriage will reflect the conversations you chose to have.

The wisdom of your dating relationship will reflect the questions you weren't afraid to ask.

The strength of your future family will often be traced back to the intentional preparation you embraced while you were still single.

Don't wait for conflict to teach what conversation could have revealed.

Don't wait for distance to remind you to pursue connection.

Don't wait for pressure to expose what wisdom could have prepared.

Build now.

Listen deeply.

Ask courageous questions.

And trust that God honors those who steward relationships with the same intentionality they steward their calling.

Because at the end of your life, people will remember far less about what you built than how faithfully you loved the people God entrusted to build it with.

We'll see you next week.

Keep building what matters.

Investors see ANOTHER return from Masterworks (!!!!)

That’s 6 sales in 7 months. 29 all time. And the performance?

16.5%, 17.6%, and 17.8%, net annualized returns on sold works held longer than one year (See all 29 at Masterworks.com)

It’s not from stocks, private equity, or real estate… it’s from contemporary and post war art. Crazy, right?

With Masterworks, you don’t need to be a BILLIONAIRE to invest in multi-million dollar art anymore.

Historically, the segment overall has had attractive appreciation and low correlation to stocks.*

Masterworks targets works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, identifying what they believe to have significant long-term appreciation potential, not just at the artist level but at the level of individual artworks.

As one of the largest players in the art market, with $1.3 billion invested over 500 artworks, they pass critical advantages through to their 70,000+ members to add art to their portfolios strategically.
